Musical Theatre: Northumberland Players presents "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" by Jeffrey Lane and David Yazbek beginning at 7:30 pm at Capitol Theatre Arts Centre (20 Queen St., Port Hope, L1A 2Y7). Based on the popular 1988 film starring Steve Martin and Michael Caine as competing con artists, this musical with lavish costumes, great dance numbers, and a live orchestra takes the audience the French Riviera for high jinks and hilarity. Sophisticated and suave, with a good dash of mischief. This hysterical comedy features a delightfully jazzy score with book by Jeffrey Lane and music and lyrics by David Yazbek and was nominated for a staggering eleven Tony Awards. Evening performances at 7:30 p.m. from February 19 to 21 and 25 to 27, with 2 p.m. matinee performances on February 20 and 21 and 27 and 28. Cost: $37 - $46.
