Over the course of several weeks, Alex Labelle, a Métis canoe builder of Algonquin ancestry, will be constructing a traditional 16-foot birchbark canoe in the Bata Library Atrium. Normal construction hours will be Monday to Friday, 9 am to 4 pm, with occasional weekend sessions.
