A 1997 romance-disaster film directed, written, co-produced, and co-edited by James Cameron, "Titanic" tells the story of the RMS Titanic's ill-fated maiden voyage from the perspective of fictional characters, Jack Dawson, a poor artist in third class, and Rose DeWitt Bukater, a teenager in first class who is to be married to a wealthy but abusive man, and shows the two passengers from different social classes meeting and falling in love on the RMS Titanic before it sinks after colliding with an iceberg. Pre-show reception at 5:30 p.m. to view a curated Titanic Artifact Display and learn more about the history of the Titanic sinking. Pizza, popcorn, movie snacks, and spirits are available for purchase. This event is a fundraiser for the Capitol Theatre, which recently experienced a flash flood in its newly renovated Galleria Lobby. All proceeds of this event will cover the deductible and related expenses related to restoring the Courtyard Galleria.
