In this docudrama, Kati Preston recounts the shattering of her childhood as a five-year-old Hungarian Jewish girl who is forced into solitary during the 1944 Hungarian Holocaust and the brutal Stalinist years that followed, revealing how fear, hatred, and silence can tear a society apart. The reenactments were filmed across various locations in Ontario, including Port Hope, Cobourg, Warkworth, and Campbellford. Franky Glover, who portrays five-year-old Kati, is from Warkworth, while Cara Mahoney, who plays 11-year-old Kati, is from Campbellford. The rest of the cast is from Trent Hills, Northumberland Hills, the Toronto area, and Los Angeles. Following the screening there will be a Q&A with Kati Preston and Jody Glover. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
