Date:Saturday, May 9, 2026
Time:4 p.m.
Location:    Peterborough Theatre Guild (364 Rogers St., Peterborough)
Cost:$18 adults, $8 children (including fees)

Two of Toronto's leading theatre companies creating original work for young audiences, Theatre Direct and Animacy Theatre Collective, present a Dora award-winning play exploring friendship, growing up, and the annual salmon run, featuring puppetry, clown, dance, and live music. This funny and heartwarming play geared towards children ages 5 to 12 tells the story of two salmon from Lake Ontario, Beagle and Sojo (Alexandra Simpson and Morgan Brie Johnson), who are best friends and do everything together. One day, Beagle starts to change and gets the urge to set off on an adventure upstream, whether Sojo wants to come or not. Along with the public performance supported by the Community Foundation of Greater Peterborough, there will be two in-school showings not open to the public.
