Artspace Peterborough presents Artist Talk - "Memory Crimes" by Edward Fu-Chen Juan

Date:Saturday, May 2, 2026
Time:1 p.m.
Location:    Artspace (378 Aylmer St. N., Peterborough)

"Memory Crimes" explores the artist Edward Fu-Chen Juan's Taiwanese family history alongside broader questions of truth, reconciliation, and diasporic identity. Drawing from personal research and archival materials, the exhibition reflects on the legacy of the February 28, 1947 massacre in Taiwan and the subsequent decades of authoritarian rule known as the White Terror, during which thousands were imprisoned, tortured, or executed under so-called "thought crimes." The exhibition runs from May 1 to June 27.
