I Mother Earth is a definitive Canadian alternative rock band formed in Toronto that became one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed acts of the 1990s. The band is recognized for its sophisticated, genre-blurring style that blends heavy alternative rock riffs with complex elements of progressive rock, funk, and world percussion. Fronted by original vocalist Edwin alongside founding brothers Jagori Tanna (guitar) and Christian Tanna (drums), the group is celebrated for its expansive, jam-driven live performances. Their legacy is anchored by multi-platinum albums like Dig and Scenery and Fish, which produced enduring Canadian rock radio staples such as "One More Astronaut," "Rain Will Fall," and "Another Sunday."
