Turtle Guardians was founded by Leora Berman of The Land Between charity, who has worked as a conservation ecologist since 1997 and has founded several large conservation programs in Ontario. Supported by a team of partners including experts from the Toronto Zoo, Scales Nature Park, and individual herpetologists at various educational institutions, Turtle Guardians works to save turtles through incubation and release, education, research, and more.
