No serious injuries after school bus slid off road near Millbrook Tuesday afternoon

No serious injuries were reported after a school bus carrying six children slid off a road near Millbrook on Tuesday afternoon (February 22).

At around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Peterborough police were called after a school bus slid off Zion Line and onto its side at the bottom of a hill between County Road 10 and Carveth Drive.

The bus driver and two children were taken to the Peterborough Regional Health Centre with minor injuries.

Road and weather conditions were poor at the time and police are laying no charges at this time.

After the incident, the area was closed while the bus was removed and the road was sanded and salted.

With reports of icy conditions in the Peterborough area on Wednesday morning, police are warning motorists to drive with caution.
