A new CCTV camera system is now up and running in downtown Lindsay, operated and maintained by the Lindsay Downtown Business Improvement Association (LDBIA) and funded by the Ontario government through the Kawartha Lakes Police Service, the City of Kawartha Lakes, and the LDBIA membership. While the cameras will not be actively monitored by the LDBIA or Kawartha Lakes police, police can request access to the footage from the LDBIA for the purpose of investigating crimes.
