Have you ever wanted to contribute to community science to support the plant and animal species of the Kawarthas? Kawartha Land Trust is hosting three bioblitzes on properties that are protected by or connected to Kawartha Land Trust. With guidance from naturalist Lou Smyrlis, explore John Earle Chase Memorial Park and document the plant and wildlife species you see using your smartphone. John Earle Chase Memorial Park is a 400-acre nature reserve that Ralph and Evelyn Chase donated to Parks Canada in 1995. Since 2018, as part of a special partnership, Kawartha Land Trust manages the community footpaths and stewardship activities on the property. Part of Kawartha Land Trust's 2025-26 Passport to Nature series.
