"The Manhattan Project" is a Canadian dark comedy-drama directed and co-written by Matthew Campanile, alongside Mark Chylinski. Starring Terry Novak as Bob Bevenah, Francesco Filice as Tom Bevenah, and Len Greenaway as Bill, the film follows a small-town cocktail enthusiast who has been diagnosed with a terminal illness and decides to face his final days on his own terms. Set against the wintry beauty of southern Ontario's Madawaska Valley, the story blends wry humour with deep emotional resonance, exploring how Bob’s decision ripples through his relationships, especially with his son. Screenings at 2 and 7 p.m. Part of the three-film fall TIFF Film Circuit Bancroft series.
