A benefit concert for Ugandan refugee Victoria Komukyeya and her two young girls, who have recently settled in Lakefield. A selection of ensembles featuring musicians from Kingston, Belleville, Cobourg, Havelock, Trent River, and Omemee will perform. Violinist David Shewchuk is featured on a unique work with chamber orchestra composed by Karen Locklin. Other ensembles conclude a trio, horn fanfare, harpist, the Serendipity Woodwind Quintet from Cobourg, and a jazz quartet with vocal soloists Sara Gray and Andrew Olscher. A choir will join the orchestra at the conclusion of the concert for an anthem titled "KISA", meaning unlimited grace in Victoria's African home language.
