All dances taught on the spot by marvellous caller Hannah Shira. Featuring live old-timey music by Martha Cooper & Saskia Tomkins. Wikipedia will tell you that contra dance is "a folk dance, similar to a square dance, except instead of the square formation, it is danced in lines of couples, with every other couple facing up or down the hall." A live band plays, a caller offers guidance (literally) every step of the way, and we dance together. Craft beer, a sweet local hall, and friends and neighbours of all ages. What could be better? Beginners and families welcome. No partner needed, no experience needed.
