Widespread frost expected for Kawarthas region overnight Wednesday

Frost advisory in effect as temperatures will drop to near or below freezing by early Thursday morning

Environment Canada has issued a frost advisory for the Kawarthas region for Wednesday overnight (May 16).

The frost advisory is in effect for Peterborough County, the City of Kawartha Lakes, and Northumberland County.

Widespread frost is expected overnight Wednesday, as temperatures drop to near or below the freezing mark by early Thursday morning,

Some plants may be damaged or even destroyed by frost. Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas.

Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.
