A 54-year-old motorcyclist is dead after a single-vehicle collision in North Kawartha Township late Saturday afternoon (July 25).
As around 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, Peterborough County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), emergency medical services, and fire responded to a single-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle on Northeys Bay Road, near Fire Route 19 on the north shore of Upper Stony Lake.
The motorcyclist, a 54-year-old resident of Oshawa, was pronounced dead at the scene.
While police have not released any information about the nature of the collision, Northeys Bay Road is a winding road in the area.
A section of Northeys Bay Road was closed in both directions for several hours while police investigated and documented the scene.
