Jeanne Pengelly is a television and radio news journalist with a Master's Degree in Journalism. Even before she got her first typewriter at age 12, she had decided she would be a writer. Highlights of her career include founding the McMaster University creative writing journal, living in a remote northern community on James Bay where she edited a newspaper and trained young television journalists, and being a non-fiction nominee for the Pacific Northwest Writers’ Association. The Survivors Abreast team has been paddling to raise awareness for 17 years.
The Dragon Boat team that enjoyed the comforts of the Dragon's Lair last year was the aptly named RBC Queen Bees. They raised $14,135.00 for the Peterborough Regional Health Care Foundation.

Glenn Goodwin's hope is to rid stress and fear from the breast cancer experience.
Dr. Rola Shaheen, Chief of Radiology and Medical Director of Diagnostic Imaging at Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC), says screening is key to defeating breast cancer.
