On Saturday afternoon, the Peterborough Musicians Benevolent Association is hosting "Remembering Buzz" at Dr. J's BBQ & Brews in downtown Peterborough, a musical tribute to the late Brian "Buzz" Thompson (pictured with the late Ronnie Hawkins). Affectionately known as "Mr. Soul", Buzz was a beloved musician who was a founding member of The Hangmen in the 1960s and a long-time guitarist and vocalist for Ronnie Hawkins and The Hawks. Local musicians who will perform their favourite songs by Buzz include Beau Dixon, Jane Archer, Bridget Foley, J.P.
