Husband-and-wife duo Cody Valliant and Maggie McCallum are taking customers back in time with EastEnd Electric Records in Fenelon Falls. The store sells used and new vinyl records from both big names and indie artists in a vibrant and welcoming space. But the retro store offers more than vinyl, as the space hosts regular live performance from local musicians, and offers venders selling everything from clothing, jewellery, accessories, décor, artwork, and even hot sauce. Peterborough’s Electric City Culture Council launches grants for individual artists program

Applications open until August 20 to professional artists residing in the Peterborough area for grants of up to $1,500 and $3,500.
At its June 15, 2023 meeting, 100 Men Kawartha Lakes presented Kawartha North Family Health Team executive director Marina Hodson with a cheque for $8,100, part of a total $15,000 donation to the charitable health services organization by the members of the collective philanthropy group. Lindsay Kinsmen Club also donated $5,000 to support the other two charities that presented at the meeting, with Kawartha Lakes Autism Support receiving $3,000 and BGC Kawarthas receiving $2,000.
