Conference: Town of Cobourg Economic Development Department presents Cobourg Workforce Development Symposium beginning at 8:30 am at Venture13 Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre (739 D'Arcy St., Cobourg, K9A 0H6). Cobourg's first annual Workforce Development Symposium will explore new ways of thinking and doing as business owners and managers continue to develop workforce solutions across Cobourg's sectors. This symposium will include a presentation on labour market research trends from Workforce Development Board CEO Jennifer Lamantia, living wage employers by Flou Manufacturing director Damien Lourens, and a panel discussion on industry workforce shortages with Graphic Packaging general manager Alain Levac, Watton Employment Services executive director Ann Newell, and Community Health Centres of Northumberland executive director Tarryn Rennicks, followed by two breakout sessions on micro credentialling and the ElevatePlus Program.
