Theatre: 4th Line Theatre presents Opening Night - "The Housekeeper" by Ian McLachlan and Robert Winslow beginning at 6:00 pm at The Winslow Farm at 4th Line Theatre (779 Zion Line, Millbrook, L0A 1G0). A world premiere, "The Housekeeper" is a compelling mystery romance and the fourth in Robert Winslow and Ian McLachlan's series of plays about the Barnardo children and their impact on Canadian culture and history. Set in 1955 in Millbrook, the story follows Eleanor Gwyn, who mysteriously arrives in Millbrook as she looks for a job in hopes of putting down roots, finding a place to call home and making a fresh start in her life. She comes across a housekeeper job opening from none other than widower Walter White. Is Millbrook ready for Eleanor and her progressive world views? Directed by Robert Winslow, "The Housekeeper" ponders the duality of the welcoming and easy nature of small towns with how small towns can be suspicious of outsiders. Mature Content. Recommended 16+. Preview performances on July 1 and 2 with opening night on July 3 and performances on Tuesdays to Saturdays from July 8 to 12 and 15 to 19, with an additional Monday performance on July 14. Cost: $52 adults, $45 youth (plus tax and fee). For more information and tickets, season subscriptions, and gift certificates, visit https://www.4thlinetheatre.on.ca.
