Concert: MellowTone Productions presents Kirk MacDonald/Jon Gordon Quartet beginning at 7:00 pm at The Theatre On King (171 King St., Peterborough, K9J 2R8). The Kirk MacDonald/Jon Gordon quartet will be performing a number of Canadian dates in July with performances in Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City and Peterborough. This group combines two of the leading saxophonists of their generation with Adrian Vedady, one of Montreal's leading bassists and the internationally renowned Austrian drummer Bernd Reiter in a program of original compositions by the co-leaders, along with selections from the great jazz canon and the American songbook traditions.
