Cycling Fundraiser: Kawartha Cycling Club and A Place Called Home present 22nd Annual Kawartha Lakes Classic Cycling Tour beginning at 8:00 am at Oakwood Lions Mariposa Community Hall (1008 Eldon Rd., Oakwood, K0M 2M0). Starting from Oakwood Lions Mariposa Community Hall, cyclists can choose from five scenic routes each showcasing the natural beauty of the Kawartha Lakes region: 20 km (road or trail options), 50 km, 70 km gravel, 100 km, and 160 km with staggered start times (100 and 160 km routes start at 8 a.m.). Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or a family looking for a fun and active day outdoors, there's a route for everyone. All proceeds support emergency shelter services for individuals and families in Kawartha Lakes and the County of Haliburton experiencing homelessness. Also featuring pre-ride music by Westerby Entertainment, a post-ride lunch featuring pizza and Caesar salad from Boston Pizza in Lindsay and dessert from Kawartha Wholesale Bakery (included with registration fee), and a cash bar by Oakwood & District Lions Club.
