Juno-nominated Indigenous cellist and composer Cris Derksen leads a seven-piece ensemble, blending cello, violin, trumpet, electronics, and an Indigenous Hoop Dancer. NOTE: this concert has been cancelled due to the sudden passing of cellist-composer Cris Derksen, who died in a traffic collision in northern Alberta on May 16, 2026 at the age of 45. "Our thoughts are with Cris's family, friends, collaborators, and community," Westben notes in a statement. "All ticket holders will be contacted directly for refund options.
