Politics: Electric City Culture Council presents ArtsVote Peterborough beginning at 7:30 pm at Market Hall Performing Arts Centre (140 Charlotte St., Peterborough, K9H 7E8). The Electric City Culture Council (EC3), Peterborough's municipal arts council, is presenting an all-candidates mayoral debate on issues in the local arts sector. All seven mayoral candidates (Michael Eamon, Rob Hailman, Brian Lumsden, Jacob Méthot, Neil Morton, Keith Riel, and Rebecca Schillemat) have accepted the invitation to attend and answer questions from a panel of knowledgeable and experienced arts professionals and supporters, with opening and closing statements from each candidate. Members of the audience will also be invited to ask questions and the proceedings will be recorded. Doors open at 7 p.m. There will be tables for candidate's literature and material from local arts organizations. Members of the public can also participate by submitting written questions in advance to EC3 that may be included in the moderated debate and/or in a survey to city council ward candidates.
