Pets: Lakelands Public Health presents Reduced-cost Rabies Vaccination Clinic beginning at 9:00 am at Omemee Veterinary Hospital (128 King St W, Omemee, K0L 2W0). In Ontario, all cats, dogs, and ferrets must be vaccinated for rabies at 3 months old and must remain up to date for the duration of the pet's life. To help protect people and their pets from rabies, Lakelands Public Health partners with local veterinary offices to promote reduced-cost vaccination clinics. When attending a clinic, dogs must be leashed and cats must be in carriers or otherwise securely restrained. Owners should bring proof of previous rabies vaccination if available.
