Celebration: City of Kawartha Lakes and Kawartha Classic Kruisers present New Runway Celebration beginning at 9:00 am at Kawartha Lakes Municipal Airport (3187 Highway 35 N., Lindsay, K9V 4R1). See the airport's newly completed 740-metre paved runway, which replaces the former grass runway. The event will feature aircraft and classic cars, food and entertainment, door prizes and a 50/50 draw, and dash plaques for the first 100 vehicles. Proceeds will support the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes. The event's rain date is September 20. Cost: Free admission.
