Politics: Local organizations present "Together: From Individual Uncertainty to Collective Action" beginning at 6:00 pm at New Canadians Centre (221 Romaine St., Peterborough, K9J 2C3). Mayoral candidates will come together for a community discussion moderated by Jazmine Raine and Collin Chepeka focused on social issues facing Peterborough and the experiences of people living and working in the community. The discussion is being organized by a group of local organizations working on community, social, health, and research issues, including United Way Peterborough & District, New Canadians Centre, Trent University's Research for Social Change Lab, One City Peterborough, Peterborough Community Health Centre, Basic Income Peterborough Network, and Community Resilience Action Network. A free BBQ will be provided by the E.P. Lions Club prior to the debate from 5 - 5:45 p.m. The debate will be broadcast live on Trent Radio at 92.7 CFFF FM and livestreamed at https://twitch.tv/newcanadianscentre. Cost: Free.
