Clad in overalls and hard hats, Cape Breton’s own Men of the Deeps have, for over half a century, enraptured audiences around the globe. Although mining as a livelihood is a thing of the past in Cape Breton, this choir of working and retired coal miners keep the history, music and folklore alive through their heartfelt performances and deep camaraderie. Canada’s legendary miners’ chorus comes to the Showplace stage to take audiences on a journey like no other, sharing the true experience of celebrating Christmas in a real coal mine, jolly miner style
