A world premiere musical by Cale Crowe and Genevieve Adam about discovering home, "Rez Gas" tells the story of Destin who, after moving away from his home reservation to pursue a music career, stumbles back into town with unexpected car trouble and lands at the Wide Wigwam, the diner at the centre of the community. There he finds many of those who he left behind and who want to remind him of his history and his place in the community. Described as "Corner Gas" meets "Come From Away", "Rez Gas" is a beautiful expression of Indigenous joy with a hip-hop-infused, unforgettable score. Directed by Herbie Barnes with music supervision by Jeff Newberry. Evening performances at 7:30 p.m. on August 22 and 23, 27 to 30, and September 3 to 6, with matinee performances at 2 p.m. on August 24, 27, 30, 31, September 2, 3, 6, and 7. Pay-what-you-can preview on August 22, relaxed performance on August 31, and Talk Back Thursday performances on August 28 and September 4.
