Minden Hills Cultural Centre presents "Haycock: Like Father, Like Daughter"

The exhibit tells the story of how a chance meeting in 1927 in Canada's Arctic led to nearly 100 years of painting the Canadian landscape from the vantage point of one family of painters. Maurice Haycock was on a geological survey assignment when he met A.Y. Jackson on a painting trip. Their friendship changed Haycock's life and consequently shaped the future lives of his two daughters and his granddaughter. The exhibit will focus on the career of Haycock and his daughter Kathy Haycock. An opening reception will be held from 1 - 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 20.
