Connecting Indigenous artists from many nations with all people from the Nogojiwanong community and beyond. the Nogojiwanong Indigenous Fringe Festival (NIFF) hosts uncensored, land-based, Indigenous performance, including comedy, storytelling, drama, dance, burlesque and music, and more. Performers include Juicebox Theatre (Winnipeg) with their play "Mutt", Centre for Indigenous Theatre (Toronto) with "Whistling Pine (A Dark Comedy)" by Chris Mejaki, John-Paul Chalykoff (Sault Ste. Marie) and his puppet friends with "Songs from Gichi-Gamiing", Oshkagoojin Theatre Projects (Winnipeg) with "Niin Anihinaabekwe", Indian Way Theatre (Akwesasne) with "My Good Friend Jay", 3 Soul Goddess with their drama "Postcards from Colonization", and Subi-Baba-Yi Dilalan from Cameroon with music and stories in "People of the Forest" (to be confirmed). Tickets go on sale in late May.
