The Monarch Ultra presents Monarch Butterfly Festival and 10km Race & Kids Fun Run

The Monarch Festival, Kids Fun Run, and 10km race are part of a vibrant annual celebration dedicated to raising awareness for monarch butterfly conservation. This lively event brings together a mix of live music, local crafts, face painting, and informative booths to educate and inspire attendees about the importance of preserving these majestic creatures. With guest speakers, delicious food to enjoy, and a sense of community spirit, the Monarch Festival offers a fun-filled experience for all. The 10km race will start at Millennium Park and will wind along the Rotary Trail and back. There will also be a 1km Kids Fun Run included in the event. The race will be an opportunity to fundraise for Nacion Verde to help reforest the Cerro Pelon Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary. The funds will directly go to planting 100,000 oyamel trees along 100 hectares in the forest, home to the annual hibernation of the monarch butterfly.
