“If you’re using it as a man cave or have kids shooting pucks up against the side of it, it’s not going to hurt the siding as badly,” Nate points out. “The cost isn’t as substantial as most people think. A lot of people choose it and can potentially tackle installing it on their own.”
Similarly, many clients swap out the shingle roof for a steel roof from Merrett’s main supplier, Havelock Metals. While the materials are more expensive, you can save money because it’s easier to install a metal roof on your own.
Other available adjustments to the standard packages include swapping the provided white doors and windows for black, beige, or something more vibrant.
