Chief Taynar Simpson of Alderville First Nation will speak about granting legal personhood to Rice Lake. In November 2025, Alderville First Nation passed a resolution granting legal personhood to Rice Lake, and it was announced the same day by Chief Simpson at the UN Climate Change Conference in Belém Brazil. Hear Chief Simpson speak on this incredible collaborative journey to protect the water. The evening will end with a fun game of bingo. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
