Set in 1899 New York City, "Newsies" follows a charismatic newsboy named Jack Kelly who rallies a group of street-smart youths to form a union and strike. Driven to action by greedy publishing titans like Joseph Pulitzer, the ragtag team stands up for their rights and ultimately changes the future of child labour. Matinee performances at 2 p.m. on August 15 and 16 with an evening performance at 7 p.m. on August 15.
