Join the New Canadians Centre for a day of learning, reflection, and programming centered on Indigenous culture, knowledge, and Truth and Reconciliation. Replacing the former Multicultural Canada Day event, this gathering invites the community to reflect on Canada's path forward and to support healing between Indigenous Peoples and settlers. Featuring a community drum circle, Voyageur canoe tour, the "River Race" interactive game, a discussion on Indigenous teachings surrounding traditional medicines, a quill workshop, a community lunch, and free admission to The Canadian Canoe Museum. All activities are family-friendly. Everyone is welcome, but children must be accompanied by caregivers.
