Doors Open Peterborough is a city-wide event held each September that provides free public access to private and public buildings of cultural, architectural, and historical significance. Locations this year include the Auburn Generating Station, City of Peterborough Organics Facility, City of Peterborough Water Treatment Plant, City of Peterborough Wastewater Treatment Plant, Hospice Peterborough, Murray Street Baptist Church, Old Peterborough Examiner Building, Peterborough & County Military Museum, Sadleir House, Showplace Performance Centre, St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, and Camp Kawartha Straw Bale Sleeping Cabin (only available to view from 1 - 4 p.m. on September 13).
