    • 80-year-old Peterborough resident Allan Saltern received vascular care at Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC) after being unable to walk due to restricted blood flow in his legs. When he had severe complications following the complex vascular surgeries, he was required to spend three weeks in the hospital learning how to walk again. With a hybrid operating room at PRHC, Saltern would have been able to receive multiple minimally invasive surgeries at the same time, reducing stress on him and his family and reducing his recovery time in hospital.
