      New Canadians Centre’s Canadian Multicultural Festival returns for a fifth year

      Volunteers participate in restoration work at the Hazel Bird Nature Reserve, a property protected by the Nature Conservancy of Canada. The reserve is part of the Rice Lake Plains, a 40,000-hectare ecosystem at the east end of the Oak Ridges Moraine in Northumberland County that is home to Canada's easternmost tallgrass communities.
