Located on Birchwood Trail in Cobourg, the park is named in honour of Constable Chris Garrett, who lost his life on May 15th, 2004, while protecting the citizens of the Town of Cobourg. The park is 5.46 acres and has a memorial statue at the centre. Behind the statue is a storm pond and to the north is the St. Mary High School.
