After less than two weeks of ticket sales, upwards of $11,500 dollars has already been raised for a 50/50 draw in support of the Peterborough Humane Society. More than $5,000 has also been raised through Owen's 'Ruff'le, where a winner will receive two patio chairs valued at over $1,700 in honour of Lakefield's late Instagram star Owen The Griff. In "The Backwoods Kitchen," she follows recipes from Upper Canada settler Catharine Parr Traill's 1854 book "The Female Emigrant's Guide" such as preserved apples.
