Megan Gallant is an adventure lover who holds an M.A. in Critical and Creative Writing from the University of Gloucestershire. Her favourite place to be is near the water and between the pines in her worn-out hammock, reading true crime, drinking coffee, and cuddling her adorable goldendoodle.
Since 2012, Tracey Randall has been the general manager of Peterborough Musicfest, Canada's longest-running free outdoor music series, but her roots to the festival dates back to 1987 when she worked the first year of the Peterborough Summer Festival of Lights as a student. Running for more than 20 years, the Safe Nights for Pets (SNooPy) Program at the Peterborough Humane Society has supported individuals fleeing domestic violence through boarding and care for pets for up to 30 days. With plans to expand the program to support people facing other forms of emergencies, the charitable organization has entered the McDougall Community Contest with the goal of winning up to $5,000 to fund the expansion.
