Decorated World War II veteran Joseph "Joe" Sullivan, pictured at left in England in 1942 when he was 22 years old, passed away on November 1, 2020 at the age of 100 at Fairhaven Long-Term Care Home in Peterborough. Sullivan was one of the last surviving members of the 1st Battalion of the 9th Infantry Brigade of the 3rd Canadian Division that came ashore at Juno Beach in Normandy, France in June 1944.
