Musical Theatre: Westben presents "The Selfish Giant's Garden" by Brian Finley and Ken Tizzard beginning at 7:00 pm at The Barn at Westben (6698 County Road 30, Campbellford, K0L 1L0). An original musical written for Westben by Westben co-founder Brian Finley and Campbellford musician Ken Tizzard, based on the short story "The Selfish Giant" by Oscar Wilde, and starring Robert Longo, Donna Bennett, Gabrielle Prata, and a colourful garden full of singing Flowers with the Westben Youth & Teen Choruses. The musical explores the precarious beauty and power of nature and our responsibility to future generations. Evening performances at 7 p.m. on June 14 and 21 and 2 p.m. matinee performances on June 15 and 16 and June 22 and 23. Cost: $45 adults, $43 seniors, $30 for adults under 30, $5 for youth and children under 18 (plus HST for all ticket prices). Subscription packages also available.
