Theatre: Globus Theatre presents "Aladdin" by Sarah Quick at Lakeview Arts Barn (2300 Pigeon Lake Rd., Bobcaygeon, K0M 1A0). In this traditional British panto by Globus Theatre's own Sarah Quick, Aladdin embarks on a thrilling adventure and meet many wonderful characters along the way, from the evil Abanazar to Aladdin's Mother Widow Twankey, the rather clumsy Genie-of-the-Ring, and of course the object of Aladdin's affections, the beautiful Princess So Shy. Full of laughter, songs, and audience participation, this is a comic version of the classic tale the whole family can enjoy. School performances on December 4 and 5, with a 7 p.m. evening performance on December 6, 8 p.m. evening performances on December 7 and 13 and 14, and 2 p.m. matinee performances on December 7 and 8 and 14 and 15. An optional dinner is available at 6 p.m. before the evening performances (except December 6). Cost: $35 adults and $22.50 children 12 and under, with dinner $50 for adults and $20 for children 10 and under (plus tax and fees).
