Concert: Westben presents 100 Years of Oscar Peterson with The Brian Barlow Big Band & Friends beginning at 2:30 pm at The Barn at Westben (6698 County Road 30, Campbellford, K0L 1L0). Westben ends its summer season with a special 100th birthday celebration for a true Canadian icon. Oscar Peterson was considered one of the greatest jazz pianists of all time and a prolific composer who greatly influenced the Canadian and international jazz scene. In celebration, Brian Barlow and his Big Band present Peterson's famous "Canadiana Suite" as well as the music of other great Canadian jazz artists influenced by Peterson including Moe Koffman, Rob McConnell, and Phil Nimmons.
