Exhibit: Minden Hills Cultural Centre presents Opening Reception - "Of Light and Life" by Michael Dumas beginning at 1:00 pm at Agnes Jamieson Gallery (174-176 Bobcaygeon Rd., Minden, K0M 2K0). An opening reception for "Of Light and Life" featuring over 70 works from the career of Michael Dumas. The artist will be in attendance and will give a brief presentation. Refreshments will be served. The natural world has exerted its influence on Dumas' artwork since childhood. The foundation for his work is direct observation of the world around him. It is born of a need to connect, to understand; and drawing and painting are the vehicles for this. This new solo exhibit, featuring several new pieces, provides a glimpse into the artists' process, creating an endless thread, connecting observation, subject matter, emotional response, and the physicality of mediums. The exhibit runs from July 17 - September 13. Cost: Admission by donation.
