Festival: Basic Income Peterborough Network presents Hope Festival beginning at 12:30 pm at Millennium Park Peterborough (130 King St., Peterborough, K9J 4P6). In the face of rising poverty, homelessness, and food insecurity, the Hope Festival aims to create a space of connection, reflection, and action by bringing together individuals, families, and community organizations to reimagine a more inclusive and compassionate Peterborough. The festival will feature interactive activities led by local community groups doing transformative work, commissioned art projects celebrating creativity, resilience, and collaboration, a Hope Gallery where attendees are invited to contribute objects that represent hope, dignity, belonging, or equity (such as poems, drawings, photographs, or meaningful artifacts), and a Hope Vision Board where attendees will identify the ingredients needed to grow a just community grounded in connection and compassion. Everyone is encouraged to participate by bringing a personal object to add to the Hope Gallery and help shape a collective Vision Board for a more just and connected Peterborough. Cost: Free.
