Benefit concert in support of the Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation. The performance features John Stinson, a long time Ontario musician, as lead vocalist. John has been entertaining audiences around Ontario for over 30 years. He has been widely praised for his uncanny sonic resemblance to Gord, and his attention to replicating Gord’s original studio recordings. “To me Lightfoot’s music really does reflect what it means to be Canadian. His lyrics tell stories; his stories, our stories. They reach out and touch audiences in deep emotional ways.” Playing 6 and 12 string guitars just like Gord, John is backed by the Classic Lightfoot Live band, an impressive cast of musicians bringing the music from the studio albums to life. Steve Eyers is on bass guitar, Eric Kidd on lead guitar, JG Jones on keyboards and Malcolm Gould is on percussion. Each of them has been influenced by Lightfoot’s music and the passion comes through in every performance.
