|Location:||Peterborough Regional Health Centre (1 Hospital Dr., Peterborough)|
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC) is asking the community for their continued support. They are grateful for the generous donations of personal protective equipment (PPE) they have received for healthcare workers, however there continues to be a worldwide shortage of PPE. If you know how to sew, they are asking you to make masks for donation. They're asking for 1000 masks a week. These masks will not be given to healthcare workers, who will continue to use certified PPE. Handmade masks will be provided to: Patients who still need to visit the hospital for necessary care and can’t always keep their distance from healthcare workers; Approved visitors to PRHC; Discharged patients as they reintegrate into our community; The broader Peterborough community to help prevent the spread of illness. By creating these masks, you will help PRHC in preserving certified PPE for healthcare providers and support staff.
